+Terrence Linder well yeah but having the words ARMANI on it makes me, a stationery hoard, feel giddy! ^_^

Those windows are strangely dirty, considering how few birds and insects there are in that place.

I had exactly the same thought when staying at the hotel; I guess the sand storms are to blame 🙂

+the Luxury Travel Expert It’s probably dust storms that are to blame; I live in Arizona and we have the same problems.

      DUST.

Since my trip to a Hong Kong street market in 1997, this brand will forever be “George Armain”!

Stunning place ! I am sure you could have done an hour long video with all that is there ? Enjoyed the production .

Not for me – decore is so muted it is bland. It is like an institution.

      December 1, 2018 at 9:53 pm

Steve ldnuk yup thought the same. Not my type of style, if I had the money I would choose another hotel. Looks like a bank or something.

I also found that guest corridor to be claustrophobic.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ big MONEY over there…..always wonder how safe we are, but Emirates is a fantastic airline, my friend is a Capt on Emirates Airlines….super luxury

how’s this luxurious? the reception lobby is small, check-in/out area tucked away, and furniture look dated…. there’s only that much muted-ness you can throw around, and without accent or unique feature it’s difficult to imagine this is Armani-branded.

That’s what I thought. That hotel actually looks very “middle class”, especially with the buffets.

just wow! Hope I would be able to afford staying there a weekend one day…

Enlighten me if you like, fellow commenters, but I think Dubai is a city that appeals mainly to males and the Kardashians–haha. Having said that, it was very interesting to see this futuristic city and hotel. This is, after all, a luxury travel vlog. Looking forward to Oman next week. I like a hotel that looks like it’s located on Earth, as opposed to Mars. Well, Oman does look a little like Mars, now that I think about it, but in a good way. I would like to read in your review what appeals most to you about Dubai, Dr. LTE. LOL at your midnight hamburger–your second favorite meal next to eggs bene 🙂 Thanks for expanding my worldview once again.

I heard that Oman people are friendly

Well….i will never need this pretentiousness that’s for sure. And a building that tall only screams of a logistical nightmare and dealing with incredibly dangerous winds at the top flooring. So the entire thing stinks of idiocy. Then again i’m just a kiwi that flies heavy metal. Get back to me in 25 years.

      December 5, 2018 at 6:32 am

Albert Bremner I see a action movie or even a thriller in the works for this property in the near future lol

Anything build in Dubai is on the back of cheap labour, nature gifted a land with so much oil to sell to the world, and because money buys anything, and can also keep you out of jail,
But one day the desert will claim the land and will be desert again ,just recently south Arabia had torrential rains that camel were under water to their neck ,part of the global warming all this luxury is all fake had no soul, build for people like robots with no conscience

Thx, I wonder no more… Waaayy to impersonal for my taste, very Ikea’e, I’ve been in Malls that have more ambience. Not an artwork in sight!

Dubai mall can’t be the most visited building on the planet? Airport surely more busy

The lobby is good to have some shawarma. .
And the suite is nice place for shisha ,

Beautiful materials and I like understated but this is just plain DULL. Lacks charisma and no wow factor whatsoever. Looks like an airport lounge.
