This business class in my opinion is a downgrade from the previous. Just the 2-3-2 seating is enough to make me fly with another airline.

Charlie H Exactly, United’s new business class on their 777 is as efficient as their old (and shitty) 2-4-2 layout. If Emirates wanted to keep a dense layout they should have done something like that so everyone has aisle access.

Bryant Wu Emirates has really went down hill, and you have to pay for seat selection

I personally think Emirates is becoming more greedy

this layout reminds me BA bunissess class layout with bad privacy and that bunissess class seats I would pick others also

So disappointing Emirates went with this configuration!

How does a large human even get into that middle seat. I would even struggle

❤️ your videos! I cant really fly business/first class, I’ve got 4 young kids! Hopefully with all the sacrifices I’ve made for them to grow up and have successful jobs, they can pay for me in the future ☺️😬 We wanted to fly first class SYD – LAX but it costs $135, 000 AUd 🇦🇺 🙄🙄 So for now, im enjoying your videos and imagining im flying luxuriously 💸✈️😂

Chatta290 Yes very true! Better to buy a nice car or deposit for investment property. Most of my money is going towards a great education for my kids. For now, a rare holiday is flying economy within Australia atm.. 😂 my kids still appreciate that.. Disneyland can come another time

If all your kids done good on a test give them a treat like go on holiday or something they want!

You should look into accumulating credit card points, transfer them to an airline mileage program, and buy the first class seats with miles!

Business Class with 2-3-2 config? Its remember me about British Airways Airbus A380 on business class where it has 2-4-2 config, but all pasenggers have direct aisles access (I have watched it in video, but i forgot the channel). For me Business Class config is 2-2-2 or 1-2-1.

I feel like a ride on Crystal Cruises’ 777 would make for a great video if your budget is okay! Like so he can see it!

Did anyone see another aircraft fly below this one at 14:05 ?
2-3-2 seating arrangement in business class ? Better to fly premium economy in Singapore airlines on A350 then, atleast you save significant amount of money & get almost same space. Seems for EK, premium economy is their new business. Didn’t expect this from EK, especially after seeing their business class on A380.

    2-3-2 layout? Even China Eastern has a 1-2-1 layout…

Air Asia X, an LCC, has the same layout in business class like this Emirates flight

This layout is quite awful and they’ve not strayed away from the tacky, glossy laminate….i’d sooner fly Etihad or, at the very least, Qatar’s qSuite product.

Stop flying emerites 3 yrs ago now I remember why !! I fly Qatar way ahead of emerites

What on earth is the point of an uncooled mini cabinet with drinks I don’t want eating into the storage space I pay for? If I want a drink, I can order it from the staff. No amenity kit is simply mean. I do like the Ghaf motif – it looks stunning. I dislike the 2-3-2 seating also. Emirates is slipping a little for me.

Agree…I laugh at those stupid seat side beverage holders in Biz and First…completely useless. Hey, anybody want a warm Coke or Perrier!

    • Scott Smith

      November 26, 2018 at 7:07 am

+Jonnie Bangkok : Yeah, I’ve been watching with some interest now for quite a while, wondering when they would (inevitably) slip from the top rankings – it was just a matter of time. Maybe they got some advice from BA on how not to configure a cabin. Give me the top Asian airlines any day!

    • Jonnie Bangkok

      November 26, 2018 at 8:42 am

+Scott Smith EK is decent for a “Western” airline and their worldwide route network is hard to beat. However, their crew service standards are very inconsistent and their inflight food in the premium cabins (as opposed to the lounges) is very uneven.

      November 26, 2018 at 9:16 am

+Jonnie Bangkok : You’re right here. I haven’t flown a great deal with them (my company avoids dealing with them and other airlines unless necessary), but I’ve found their Business Class to be better than average – service has always been attentive, although I have never really liked the food served in flight – a meal taken in the lounge prior to boarding is definitely the way to go!

I hate EMIRATES 2-3-2 Business Class seats configuration

    November 25, 2018 at 10:21 am

People pay an extra heap of money, still have no direct access to isle. What a shame configuration!

  14. zakelwe

    November 25, 2018 at 10:35 am

Ignoring the 2-3-2 the actual new colour scheme and materials are far better. Meal looked good too. The 2-3-2 is a bit of a strange decision though

Is it just me or does the interior have a plasticky and tacky look about it?

    • BegbieUK

      December 4, 2018 at 7:21 pm

nah … it’s not just you, m8 … i made a similar comment about the tacky, ill-designed interior.

2-3-2 is just awful for the price of business

  17. Jonnie Bangkok

    November 25, 2018 at 4:05 pm

I thought EK was going to 2-2-2 seating in Biz on their new 777s…yet this was a very new plane and still features the 3 across middle seats. Disappointing for sure.

3 seats in the middle and they call it business class !!!!!

That centre seat is a horror. Shameful installing this as a ‘new’ product in 2018. Take your business elsewhere or at least to their A380 !!

Nice and detailed video, very pleasant to watch. Thank you. The lounge at BRU is a disgrace, the food offering is of poor choice, and seems to come out of an industrial catering factory. One hot dish for lunch, that’s a joke. And what a dish – meat balls with rice! That’s what canteens serve to primary school kids. As a regular traveller who likes eating fruits, I notice that you can never find a peeler in business lounges. The lunch served on board looks good on the menu, but EK doesn’t deliver on promises – presentation of the appetizer was sub-standard, the main looks mushy, and the dessert, well, is always to small 😉
